Measuring Guide
Step 1: Identify Your Step Brand
Before measuring, determine the brand of your RV steps:
MorRyde Step Above: Look for a blue oval with the MorRyde logo on each side of the top of the steps. These steps will also have black leg extensions.
Lippert Solid Steps: Look for a label at the top right of the steps (before you enter your RV). The leg extensions on these steps are typically gray.

Step 2: Measure Across The Middle Of The Steps
Now that you know your step brand, use the following steps to measure:
– Measure from side to side: Take a measuring tape or ruler and measure the width of your steps across the middle (from one side to the other).
– This measurement will determine which size Pop Step covers** you need.
Step 3: Choose The Correct Pop Step Cover Size
– **Use your measurement**: Refer to the Pop Step cover sizing chart (typically provided by the manufacturer) to select the correct cover based on the width you measured across the middle of the steps.
Tips For Accurate Measurement:
– Make sure to measure at the widest point** of the steps.
– For best results, have someone help you keep the tape straight while you measure.
MorRyde large: 26 inches
Step 1: Gather Your Measuring Tools
Before starting, make sure you have these tools ready:
✔ Measuring tape (preferably up to 30 inches)
✔ Notepad or phone for recording measurements
✔ Straight edge or ruler (optional for more accuracy)
Step 2: Measure the Width
The width is key because the cover must fit snugly across the step.
- Put the measuring tape at one step edge and stretch it straight across to the other.
- The MORryde large step should measure exactly 26 inches.
- Write this down as your width measurement.
🔹 Tip: Some covers have elastic or fasteners for different widths. Pick one that fits 26 inches well without stretching too much.
Step 3: Measure the Depth (Front to Back)
The depth shows how much area the cover needs to cover.
- Begin at the step’s front edge and measure straight back to the RV frame.
- MORryde steps usually have a depth of 8 to 10 inches. Check your exact measurement.
🔹 Tip: If your step has a rounded front, measure to the furthest point the cover needs to cover.

MorRyde small: 21 7/8 inches
Step 1: Gather Your Measuring Tools
To get precise measurements, you’ll need:
✔ Measuring tape (preferably one that extends up to 30 inches)
✔ Notepad or phone to record measurements
✔ Straight edge or ruler (optional for better accuracy)
Step 2: Measure the Width
The width of your step is key when picking a cover.
- Place the measuring tape at one edge of the step and extend it straight across to the opposite side.
- The MORryde small step should measure exactly 21 7/8 inches from edge to edge.
- Write this down as your step width measurement.
🔹 Tip: Many step covers have adjustable fasteners to fit various step widths. Look for one that fits 21 7/8 inches well.
Step 3: Measure the Depth (Front to Back)
The depth shows how much of the step surface the cover will cover.
- Start from the front edge of the step and measure straight back to where it meets the RV frame.
- MORryde small steps usually have a depth of 8 to 10 inches. Make sure to check your exact measurement.
🔹 Tip: If your step has a rounded edge, measure to the furthest point the cover needs to wrap around for a snug fit.

Lippert large: 26 5/8 inches
Step 1: Gather Your Measuring Tools
To take precise measurements, you’ll need:
✔ Measuring tape (preferably one that extends up to 30 inches)
✔ Notepad or phone to record measurements
✔ Straight edge or ruler (optional for accuracy)
Step 2: Measure the Width
The width is the most important measurement. It ensures the step cover fits securely without slipping or bunching.
- Place the measuring tape at one edge of the step and extend it straight across to the opposite edge.
- The Lippert large step should measure exactly 26 5/8 inches wide.
- Write this down as your step width measurement.
🔹 Tip: Some step covers have elastic bands or adjustable fasteners to accommodate small variations in width. Choose one that fits 26 5/8 inches without excessive stretching or sagging.
Step 3: Measure the Depth (Front to Back)
The depth determines how much of the step surface the cover will protect.
- Start at the front edge of the step and measure straight back to where the step meets the RV frame.
- Lippert steps typically have a depth of 8 to 10 inches, so confirm your specific measurement.
🔹 Tip: If your step has a curved or beveled edge, measure to the farthest point where the cover needs to wrap around.

Lippert small: 22 3/4 inches
Step 1: Gather Your Measuring Tools
To ensure precise measurements, you will require:
✔ Measuring tape extending up to 30 inches
✔ Notepad or phone for recording the data
✔ Straight edge or ruler for enhanced accuracy
Step 2: Measure the Width
The width of your step is critical for a proper fit.
- Position the measuring tape at the step’s edge and extend it straight across to the opposite side.
- The Lippert small step should measure exactly 22 3/4 inches wide.
- Record this measurement as your step width.
🔹 Tip: Some step covers feature adjustable fasteners or elastic edges, facilitating a wider range of widths. Seek covers that securely wrap around 22 3/4 inches, avoiding slack or undue tension.
Step 3: Measure the Depth (Front to Back)
The depth of your step is key to the cover’s surface area protection.
- Begin at the step’s front edge and measure straight back to the RV frame’s meeting point.
- Lippert small steps generally have a depth between 8 to 10 inches, but verify your exact measurement.
🔹 Tip: For steps with a curved or slanted front edge, measure to the farthest point where the cover must wrap around.
